Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has become a minority shareholder in Championship side Birmingham City, it has been revealed.
The 46-year-old NFL legend is set to become chairman of the new Advisory Board and will work directly with the club’s board, as well as members of Birmingham City's leadership team.
So what does that mean? A club statement says Brady will "apply his extensive leadership experience and expertise across several components of the club."
These components include the sports science department to advise on health, nutrition, wellness, and recovery systems and programs.
He will also work closely with the board and management team on global marketing efforts and the identification of new commercial partnership opportunities.Brady, who holds the record for most Super Bowl victories with seven and most Super MVPs with five, is excited to get started.
"Birmingham is an iconic club with so much history and passion and to be part of the Blues is a real honour for me," he told the club's official website.
"BCFC is built on teamwork and determination and I'm excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our second-city club second to none.
