Job Description:
- As a General Cashier, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of the hotel.
- Responsible for managing and reconciling cash and non-cash transactions.
- Performs daily cash counting, deposits, and ensures accurate documentation of all financial transactions.
- Handles the safekeeping of cash, checks, and other valuable assets.
- Prepares daily bank deposits and reconciles cash floats.
- Processes petty cash requests and maintains a petty cash fund.
- Assists with credit card and billing reconciliations.
- Provides excellent customer service when dealing with guests’ financial inquiries and requests.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure accurate financial records and efficient cash handling processes.
- Follows all Marriott accounting policies and procedures.
- Reports any discrepancies or issues to the Finance Manager.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of financial information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
