Position Summary:
The General Maintenance Technician, part of the Engineering department, is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of the property. They will work on various systems and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs as needed. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks on the property, including repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Inspect equipment, systems, and structures regularly to identify any issues or potential problems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve them efficiently to minimize disruptions.
• Utilize technical skills to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment or systems.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
• Collaborate with other members of the Engineering team to prioritize and complete maintenance projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed for specialized repairs or services.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies relevant to maintenance and repair.

Candidate Profile:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in general maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
