POSITION SUMMARY

As a Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Technician at JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi, you will play a crucial role in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment. Your responsibilities will include conducting daily inspections of the mechanical plant, monitoring and controlling property temperature, and analyzing energy and utilities usage. Additionally, you will assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring, as well as assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and more. Performing routine pool and spa maintenance will also be part of your duties.

In this position, you will adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries and completing safety training and certifications will be essential. You will maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and provide excellent service to guests. Building positive relationships with colleagues, listening and responding to their concerns, and identifying opportunities to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings will be vital to your role. You should be physically capable of performing tasks that involve reaching overhead and below the knees, working in confined or elevated spaces, and moving on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. You may also need to lift, carry, and place objects of varying weights.
