JOB SUMMARY

As the Assistant Spa Manager at JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi, you will play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating the delivery of spa services. This includes overseeing salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception desk, massage, and locker room areas. Your focus will be on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while assisting in achieving the operating budget. Your commitment to exceptional service and financial management will contribute to the overall success of the spa.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the spa, guest services, or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Assisting in Management of Spa Operations and Budgets

• Ensure that all employees have the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Understand budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to assist in the financial management of the department.
• Manage supplies and equipment inventories within budget.
• Maintain cleanliness of the spa, related areas, and equipment.
• Recognize the impact of the department’s operations on the property’s financial goals and manage accordingly.
• Set clear expectations and parameters for employees.
• Escalate issues to the department manager and Human Resources as necessary.

Ensuring and Delivering Exceptional Customer Service

• Set a positive example for guest relations.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Handle guest problems and complaints.
• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Emphasize guest satisfaction during departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
• Strive to enhance service performance.
