Job Title: Counselling Psychologist

Department: Strathmore University Medical Centre

Reporting to: Director

Basic job summary: 

To be responsible for reviewing patients symptoms, test results and determine a diagnosis and appropriate treatment for patients.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Able to respond to demanding mental patient situations
• Effective communication with other doctors as well as patient
• Maintain concise, timely, and accurate confidential records of patients
• Able to prioritize patients according to their clinical needs
• Good time management skills to balance the clinical and other duties
• Able to work under pressure
• Ability to solve difficult problems
• Should be able to challenge decisions
• Strong decision making and practical skills

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

Degree in Degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology from a recognised institution

Experience:

At least 3 years working experience as a full time counsellor
