Mara Sugar interim coach Godfrey Naibei has lauded his sides 'mental strength' in their 2-2 draw against Dimba Patriots over the weekend.
The FKF National Super League leaders fought back twice at the Awendo Green Stadium to salvage a draw to remain top of the log standings.
However, the millers’ boss acknowledges that his team needs to get back to winning ways, even as he hailed their fight-back ability."We had a little bit of concentration lapse within the first twenty minutes and we conceded and tried to comeback.
"The same thing again in the second half, a lapse in concentration and we conceded but the boys showed true mental strength to come back again and I commend them for that but we need to get back to winning ways soon," said Naibei.
The draw allowed Kisumu AllStars to close the gap on the league leaders with a 2-0 win over Coastal side Mombasa Elite at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, putting them level on 13 points with Mara but behind on goal difference.
In other fixtures, fourth-placed Mathare United continued their brilliant run with a narrow 1-0 victory over Assad to pile pressure on the league leaders, coming one point within reach of the top of the table.
