The 14th leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour had attracted 140 avid golfers.
The event will be held at the 9-hole Machakos Golf Club next weekend.
Machakos Golf Club captain Peter Kimetu expressed optimism about the tournament's success.
'' The weather in Machakos has been beautiful so we look forward to an exciting golf day here in Machakos. The greens are well kept as our greens manager has been working hard to prepare the course for the Tour,'' said Kimetu.
The morning action is expected to tee off at 7:00 a.m.
The golfers are set to fight for the top two positions in a bid to qualify for the Grand Finale of the Tour scheduled for next month at the Karen Country Club.
The series has gained momentum, with 12 teams securing a place in the Pro-Am event.
New entrants including Phylis Kisuna, J. Jesang, and J. Cheruiyot have joined the ranks from the 13th edition in Kitale.
KCB group director of marketing and communication Rosalind Gichuru said: “We are happy that our golf series is creating memorable experiences across the amazing golf courses in the country and impacting people positively.''
Eliud Siganga who bagged the Staff winner award in Mombasa, hard-hitting Millicent Melo, John Okulo, and Ibrahim Lande are all set to headline the tournament.
