As our Food and Beverage Supervisor you could be leading the charge to ensure our guests enjoy a truly memorable experience – whether they’ve worked up an appetite for a full conference banquet or are just joining us for their favourite hot beverage in our restaurants and or Bar.
Responsibilities:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Creating a warm welcome for every single guest that sets the tone for their experience with us
- Directing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals
- Delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them.
- Coordinating the assigned restaurant matters stations allocation, ensure all billing procedures are strictly followed, food and beverage standards are adhered to so as to deliver against our commitment to responsible business practices.
- Working closely with the Kitchen team so as to ensure timely delivery of guest meals.
- Supervise and ensure a courteous, professional and efficient service is provided to our guests at all times.
- Strictly monitor billing and credit transactions in the restaurant.
- Ensure strict comply to the beverage guidelines given by the hotel and management.
- Perform up-selling all items offered by the restaurant assigned as well as offering alternatives.
- Monitor operating supplies, equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully.
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures have been performed as established for the assigned outlet/Bar.
- Be knowledgeable to operate and navigate the existing POS system based on the trained responsibility level as assigned in the department.
- Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Department Head.
- Be knowledgeable of all services and products offered by the hotel.
- Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints and feedback to your supervisor immediately.
- Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the department management.
- Coordinate scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
- Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
- Report to to work on time wearing the correct uniform, clean and well pressed including appropriate shoes (polished) and nametag at all times according to the Hotel grooming standards, maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
- Attend and contribute to all staff meetings, departmental trainings and hotel initiated trainings scheduled and undertake to complete all assigned trainings with the scheduled completion time.
What we need from you
- Diploma/ Certificate in hospitality management
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Micros
- Computer literate and proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Two to three years experience in a similar position.
- Ability to identify and delegate tasks effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times.
- Fluent in English speaking and a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and can multitask
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
