The Opportunity

Which is why we’re searching for a Waiter/Waitress confident in delivering unforgettable experiences through a warm welcome, inspired recommendations and seamless service from starter to dessert and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Striving to make every meal truly memorable for our guests by serving up height standards with our signature flare,
- Warm welcome and sit guests in the assigned restaurant.
- Have the knowledge and understanding to explain and perform upselling all items offered by the restaurant assigned as well as offering alternatives.
- Monitor operating supplies, equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully.
- Be knowledgeable to operate the existing POS system based on the trained responsibility level as assigned in the department.
- Maintain a good rapport and work relation with staff in the assigned restaurant and within the hotel.
- Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Department Head.
- Be knowledgeable of all services and products offered by the hotel.
- Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints and feedback to your supervisor immediately.
- Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the department management.
- Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
- Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
- Report to to work on time wearing the correct uniform, clean and well pressed including appropriate shoes (polished) and nametag at all times according to the Hotel grooming standards, maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
- Successfully perform opening and closing procedures established for the assigned outlet
- Attend and contribute to all staff meetings, departmental trainings and hotel initiated trainings scheduled and undertake to complete all assigned trainings with the scheduled completion time.
What we need from you
- 2-4 years’ experience in an F&B service role in a five star busy Hotel
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or Hospitality related field preferred.
- Concern for quality and attention to details
- Awards/ certificates/ trainings related to bar operations are preferred.
- Ability to operate computer and office equipment.
- Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
- Fluent in English speaking and a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and can multitask
- The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling.
- The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing) be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
