Prime Cabinet Secretary Musali Mudavadi on Thursday met with World Food Programme country director Lauren Landis.
Musalia said he welcomed the initiative by the World Food Programme that aims at helping Kenya benefit from the Debt Swap programme.
"This programme will aid us in reducing foreign debt stress on Kenya," he said.
He said it will in turn help the government focus more on improving agricultural growth by supporting local farmers to increase food production for Kenya to become more food secure.
Musalia said in his deliberations with Landis they agreed to foster cordial working relationships that will assist in boosting Kenya's economic recovery.
