I am Nixon Kirop Kirotich, a Diploma holder in the field of Information Communication Technology (I.C.T). I am an ICT specialist with a wide variety of experience in the field.
I tend to view myself as a generalist since I try not to focus on any given technology. I have been exposed to a wide variety of technologies in my career and consider myself to be very adaptable. My areas of skills are as follows:
· Information Communication Technology (ICT).
· Website designing and Administration.
· End user support: Word perfect and computer applications.
· Rails, Assembly, to Java, Swift, Object-C, C, C++ and Java script).
· System and Hardware maintenance.
· Data entry and transcriptions.
· Network administration duties. Set up and maintain the LAN. Design, setup and configure complex switching environment and a wireless networks that support secured access of computing devices and server resources. And the ability to support PBX voice and video applications. Design a multi-server environment that is, IP address schemes and DNS.
· Information Security duties. Proper Configuration and setup of Cisco Firewalls and VPNs for a secure network. Monitor the network at all time. Also perform Troubleshooting of network hardware and software applications to solve prevailing issues.
· Implementation and maintenance of network’s hardware (servers, switches, routers, UPS and the peripherals) inclusive of performance, security, throughput and upgrades i.e by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enrichments.
· Documentation Roles. Create and maintain inclusive documentation for all implemented networks and related services. Also record of institutions assets.
· Redesigning the facilities tools and handling employee concerns. For example, restructuring of templates (OPD Note, Invoices, records etc)
· Assist the manager oversee SMART metrics. For hardware, software, and storage. Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.
· Supporting the implementation of new company’s Information Management Systems (HMIS, AMS). Determining business requirements for the systems. Like developing templates, converting files/data to solve.
· Networking and cabling of the system on LAN.
· Installation of newly purchased PCs and software.
· System and hardware maintenance.
· Data management .
· Staff assistance to the system and internet operations.
· Assisting all network users on the ICT issues in the entire organization .
