Harley’s Limited is a company registered in 1953 that deals in the sales, marketing and distribution of healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, surgical-equipment, medical equipment, ophthalmic equipment, theatre equipment and OTC products. The volume of business generated since the current management took over from 1975 has continued to grow steadily. At the time of acquisition by the current management the company purely traded in Pharmaceuticals in Kisumu (western Kenya) as a Wholesale Dispensing Chemist which is still functional.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand Strategy and Planning: Develop, implement and execute annual brand plans aligned with objectives and portfolio strategy.
- Positioning and Messaging: Define brand positioning, value propositions and tactical priorities to drive brand differentiation and growth.
- Campaign Development: Lead the development and approval of promotional materials and campaign assets in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Forecasting and Supply Coordination: Support forecasting, demand planning and stock availability follow-ups to ensure uninterrupted product supply.
- Customer Engagement: Coordinate CMEs, scientific meetings and customer engagement activities to support brand objectives.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer insights to guide informed strategic decisions.
- Forecasting and supply Coordination: Support forecasting, demand planning and stock availability follow-ups to ensure uninterrupted product supply.
- Budget Management: Manage brand budgets, activity ranking and cost optimization initiatives.
- Performance Management: Track and analyze brand performance, KPIs, market share and return on investment (ROI).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Marketing, Business or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing or product management.
- Proven experience in managing brands independently within a pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing processes, compliance and regulations.
- Sound analytical, financial planning and budgeting skills.
