To develop and maintain a security policy, develop programs to protect inventory, moveable and immovable assets, operations and information against threats posed or possibly arising from malicious practices, crime and labour unrest.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare and regularly update security policies, plans and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate threats, vulnerabilities/ exposures and consequent risks to company assets and operations.
- Develop human material and procedural security protection measures.
- Ensure safety training for staff is conducted regularly.
- Manage/ collaborate/ monitor with contracted security team.
- Uphold regulatory compliance within the organization
- Manage security affairs and go to person for security related matters including breaches
- Provide detailed reports on activities and incidents that have occurred to management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- At least Diploma in security related field.
- Computer literacy skills.
- Professional accreditation.
- At least 5 years experience in a similar position
- Keen eye for detail and excellent knowledge of security protocols
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations.
