Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Management

  • Analyse product samples daily for quality, durability and known product specifications before the final stage of production.
  • Reviewing work performance to ensure that it meets the company’s standards for quality
  • Identifying potential problems with products before they reach customers
  • Conducting research to identify trends and patterns in customer complaints or other problems that may indicate a problem with the product or service
  • Recording complaints or suggestions from customers or other stakeholders about products
  • Preparing reports summarising findings and recommending solutions to problems identified during audits or investigations
  • Providing feedback to management regarding improvements that can be made based on findings from audits or investigations
  • Follow GMP and HACCP to ensure compliance at all levels
  • Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 certifications, through specification interpretation, writing procedures, and maintaining the QMS.
  • Aiding the quality manager to guide and train production staff in quality measures
  • Must possess a positive attitude and always lead by example
  • Tracking Calibrations and inventory for Equipment.
  • Reviewing incoming raw materials for defects before they are used in production

Working area / Health and Safety

  • Making sure that all the drums for raw material have wheels, Lids and have been cleaned.
  • Making sure that working area and the machines have been kept clean always and factory cleaning days have been observed always
  • Making sure that all safety procedures have been observed and followed.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma/Degree in manufacturing/Chemical engineering or Analytical Chemistry
  • Experience 2-3 years as a quality Assurance
  • Experience gained in a plastic process firm will be an added advantage
  • Having a QMS/FSMS is a plus
  • Basic understanding of Good manufacturing practice(GMP) is necessary
Salary: Ksh. 30,000
