Description:

Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous Accountant to join The Espresso Lab’s finance team. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day accounting operations for our retail and F&B activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help maintain compliance with local tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and periodic reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, maintain the general ledger, and perform regular reconciliations.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate results.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including preparation and filing of VAT returns.
• Support internal and external audit requests and documentation.
• Monitor and analyze accounting transactions to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Drive process improvements within the finance function to increase efficiency and control.
• Assist with inventory accounting and cost control procedures relevant to retail and F&B operations.
• Work cross-functionally with retail, operations and HR teams to support business needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus.
• At least 2 years of practical accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT rules and local financial compliance requirements.
• Comfortable using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communicator who can work independently and collaborate with other departments.
