Job Description

The Sportsbook Product Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational performance of the sportsbook portfolio across Kenya and other African markets. The role ensures accurate market creation, timely and precise bet settlement, seamless execution of promotions, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is an expert in sportsbook operations with strong leadership, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of the sportsbook product strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee day-to-day sportsbook operations, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and enhancements.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor and report on product performance, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• 5 years proven experience in sportsbook operations and product management.
• Strong knowledge of trading and market trend analysis.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Passion for sports, betting, and creating exceptional user experiences.
• Proficiency in Excel, BI tools, and data analytics.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards and responsible gaming practices.
• Strong understanding of sportsbook mechanics, betting markets, odds creation, and settlement processes.
• Knowledge of betting behaviour across Kenya and African markets.
