Job Purpose Statement

• The main purpose of the role is to use data from internal systems and the market to outline business performance and market trends to drive performance and efficiency.
• The role shall develop, implement, maintain and support business analysis and modelling to enable the reporting and analysis of both financial and operational information through Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics.
• The analyst interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their needs and design solutions that facilitate decision-making towards achievement of the bank’s strategic goals.
• The role shall deliver reporting and dashboard solutions that meet the needs of the organization. The role holder must demonstrate accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle different stakeholders, multiple and changing reporting priorities in successfully collaborating with business leaders.

The role is responsible for the following:

•  Perform development work, ensuring the data presented is accurate and meets visualization best practices.
•  Ensure design of new and/or customization of reports and dashboards that effectively meet the needs of different audiences.
•  Put in place process improvement measures that will lead to elimination of manual reports generation.
•  Manage and support migration of configurations and report objects from development to production environments
•  Ensure proper data governance and data quality across all reports and dashboards developments
•  Collaborate with technical stakeholders on methodology, design and architecture best practices.
•  Ensure optimal end user performance by establishing and consistently executing overall system performance assessment.

Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Software Engineering, Engineering, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative or business-related field from a recognized accredited university.

Professional:

•  Data visualization tools (SAP BI, OBIEE, Admin tool, Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Qlik View ), or
•  Data Warehouse expertise (ETL, Cube and Report design and development), or,
•  Databases knowledge (Oracle, SQL server), or,
•  Professional accounting (CPA-K or ACCA) qualification and relevant accreditations;
•  Preferably expertise in a combination of the above skills;

Desired work experience:

•  2 to 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a medium to large corporate organisation.
•  Work experience in data analysis, reports and dashboards to track, analyse and report on key performance indicators and other metrics.
•  Technical expertise regarding warehouse design, dimensional modelling and data mining techniques.
•  Demonstrated work experience with computerised accounting systems, applications and Excel;
•  Excellent organisation skills including running complete project lifecycle with emphasis on project and financial management;
•  Outstanding communication skills; serving as a resource to those less experienced thereby presenting technical ideas in a user-friendly language.
•  Ability to operate with considerable independence and as a member of a team, show good judgment, and take initiative;
•  Strong math, analytical and technical skills; highly organized and customer service oriented;
