Accounts / HR Assistant

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts / HR Assistant to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both the accounting and human resources departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and management of financial documents and reports.
  • Support the HR department in recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining employee records.
  • <>Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Assist with audits and implement financial controls and procedures.
  • Coordinate HR activities, including training sessions and performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting and/or HR roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and HR practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
