Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care within the assigned specialty area.
- Monitor, assess, and document patients’ conditions, responding promptly tclinical changes and emergencies.
- Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment relevant tthe unit (e.g., ventilators, dialysis machines, surgical equipment).
- Ensure strict adherence tinfection prevention, control measures, and hospital safety protocols.
- Assist physicians and colleagues during clinical procedures and participate in patient education initiatives.
- Contribute tcontinuous quality improvement, staff training, and compliance with accreditation standards.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Kenyan citizen aged below 45 years.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Higher Diploma in any of the following specialties from an accredited institution:
- Critical Care Nursing (KRCCN)
- Perioperative (Theatre) Nursing (KRPON)
- Renal Nursing (KRNN)
- Valid and current nursing license/registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
- Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in any of the following areas:
- High Dependency Unit (HDU)
- Critical Care Unit (CCU)
