           POSITION SUMMARY
- The Customer Experience Assistant will play a key role in delivering excellent service to customers at the minimart. This position involves assisting customers at checkout by bagging purchases, maintaining organized and clean checkout areas, and supporting smooth flow at queues. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, friendly, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming shopping experience.
 
- Assist cashiers by quickly and carefully bagging customer purchases.
 
- Offer to help elderly, disabled, or customers with large purchases to their vehicles when needed.
 
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including bagging stations and trolleys.
 
- Monitor queue flow and guide customers to available checkout counters to minimize waiting time.
 
- Restock packing materials (bags, wrappers) as needed.
 
- Provide basic product or store information to customers and refer complex queries to supervisors.
 
- Support store promotions by informing customers about ongoing offers while at checkout.
 
- Assist in maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards in the customer service areas.
 
- Perform other tasks as assigned to ensure overall smooth store operations.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
- KCSE Certificate or equivalent; additional training in customer service is an added advantage.
 
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
 
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
 
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (e.g., lifting shopping bags).
 
- Friendly, courteous, and proactive approach to customer interactions.
 
- Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
 
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
