Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end project management from design, budgeting, planning, execution, to evaluation.
  • Oversee the implementation of ICT-driven trade and customs modernization projects.
  • Coordinate the assessment and upgrade of existing ICT systems to support digital trade facilitation.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with government agencies, international development partners, private sector actors, and technical experts.
  • Facilitate high-level dialogues and consultations with customs, trade facilitation institutions, and ICT agencies.
  • Represent the organization in regional and international forums on trade and ICT systems.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Design and apply project performance indicators and M&E frameworks.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, policy briefs, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with donor and organizational standards.

Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, consultants, and technical advisors.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide capacity-building support to implementing partners.
  • Promote a results-oriented, collaborative, and innovative team culture.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • MBA in research and statistics, ICT, commerce, Business management or related field
  • 10 years’ experience in ICT systems assessment, digital trade facilitation or customs modernization
  • Strong background in trade policy, ICT, Economics
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
