Key Responsibilities

° Implement Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), Sustainable Land Management (SLM) and gender mainstreaming activities in line with project objectives.

° Support community-based initiatives including kitchen gardens, soil conservation, water harvesting, and fodder cultivation for farmers.

° Strengthen gender and women empowerment components in project activities.

° Collect and document success stories, video/photo stories, and timely progress reports.

° Provide technical support and capacity building to community beneficiaries and Green Volunteers (GVs).

° Monitor, track, and report on project performance, ensuring compliance with GBM and donor requirements.

° Build and sustain partnerships with stakeholders to advance GBM’s vision and mission.

° Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

° Represent GBM in community and stakeholder forums as delegated.

Qualifications and Experience

° Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.

° At least one year of proven experience as an Extension Officer in community-based or natural resource management projects.

° Strong skills in community mobilization, advocacy, data collection, and reporting.

° Good communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

° Ability to work independently and with diverse community groups.
