Job Description
The Benefits Specialist supports employees and clients by handling daily benefits-related inquiries via email and phone. Responsibilities include processing life events, eligibility questions, ID card requests, coverage confirmations, and disability forms. The role also involves resolving payroll deduction issues, assisting with Open Enrolment, and maintaining benefits databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee inquiries via phone, email, and task systems.
- Process benefit claims (life, STD, LTD) and update enrolments.
- Maintain accurate payroll deductions and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle qualifying life events and manual enrolments with carriers.
- Support Open Enrolment tasks and generate reports.
- Assist with audits, unpaid claims, and carrier communications.
- Participate in special projects and adhere to KPIs and SLAs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Office tools and HR systems (e.g., Prism HR).
- Advanced English (90% proficiency).
- Degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience, including 2+ years in Benefits Administration.
