Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Coordination: Directs and coordinates the activities of construction workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to plans.
Safety Enforcement: Enforces strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Resource Management: Manages materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize workflow and project completion.
Scheduling and Planning: Develops work schedules, considering crew availability, project deadlines, and material procurement.
Quality Control: Monitors construction work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
Communication: Communicates effectively with project managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves any issues that arise during the construction process.
Training and Mentoring: Trains new workers on construction methods, safety procedures, and company policies.
Budget Management: Monitors expenditures and ensures projects stay within the allocated budget.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience as a Construction Foreman.
Certificate or diploma in a skilled trade (Building Construction or Civil Engineering).
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, OSH guidelines, and compliance protocols.
