Job objective:
To optimize financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy within our operations, enabling data driven decisions, stronger cost efficiencies, and support for future expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with International
Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax, in compliance with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Develop and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Kenya or equivalent certification.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in financial management.
