Job Description

What you become a part of:

 

As the IT Lead for Kenya, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ERP systems, Point of Sale (POS) solutions, and other business applications for the country. Your responsibilities will encompass working closely with the Kenya business team and ensuring stability, security, and enhancement of our technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

System Implementation and Management:

 

Manage the rollout and support of Microsoft Business Central ERP, SFA, CRM and other business applications.

 

Collaborate with functional teams to ensure these systems effectively support their processes.

 

Work closely with the central IT teams to identify and implement the best practices to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations.

 

IT Infrastructure:

 

Manage the rollout and support of overall IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware, Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.

 

Work closely with the central IT teams to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.

 

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

 

Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring contractual agreements are upheld.

 

Collaborate with local stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure IT solutions align with business objectives.

 

Budget Management:

 

Develop and manage the IT budget for the country, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions.

 

Monitor expenses and optimize IT spending.

 

User Support and Training:

 

Provide user support and training to ensure that IT solutions are effectively utilized by local teams.

 

Foster a culture of IT literacy and awareness.

 

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

 

8+ years of experience in IT management, with a strong background in Microsoft Business Central, POS systems, and IT infrastructure.·

 

Experience of managing POS solutions in Retail environment will be an added advantage.

 

Proven experience in managing IT projects, budgets, and teams.

 

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management.

 

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

 

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
