Job Description

Job Summary

 

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Intern to join our Growth team at GoBEBA!

 

If you're a recent graduate or someone passionate about digital marketing, content creation, and engaging online audiences, this could be your chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing e-commerce environment.

 

This role is ideal for a proactive team member who’s madly passionate about digital content creation through creative ways using video, photography, creative writing, and pays great attention to detail. Is eager to build hands-on experience in campaign execution, social media management, and using AI tools to streamline marketing tasks. You’ll be working closely with the Growth team to help bring our brand to life across multiple platforms.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

 

Content Creation Support: (50% focus)

 

Assist in writing captions, short-form scripts, and post copy.

 

Source or shoot visuals and edit basic videos for social and digital ads.

 

Create simple static graphics and animated content using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools.

 

Brainstorm creative ideas for social campaigns, Reels, TikToks, and seasonal content.

 

Responsible for managing product content and images across GoBEBA and partner platforms, including coordinating or handling product photography.

 

Social Media Management & Community Engagement: (30% focus)

 

Plan, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.

 

Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions promptly and in a tone that aligns with the GoBEBA brand.

 

Monitor content performance (reach, engagement, saves, shares) and recommend content tweaks.

 

Share brand updates, campaigns, and offers in WhatsApp customer groups.

 

Actively engage with community members, respond to inquiries, and flag key insights to the team.

 

Help maintain a positive, helpful tone and ensure customer questions are addressed in real-time.

 

Other (20% focus)

 

Campaign Execution & Performance Tracking:

 

Support the roll-out of marketing campaigns by helping set up, schedule, and QA posts across channels.

 

Monitor and track campaign performance using tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Sheets, or AI analytics tools.

 

Summarize campaign learnings and assist in compiling weekly performance reports.

 

Brand Listening & Insights

 

Monitor brand mentions, keywords, and competitor activity across digital platforms.

 

Provide insights into customer sentiment and suggest new content or tone adjustments.

 

Participate in brainstorming sessions using audience feedback and current trends.

 

AI Tool Integration & Content Optimization

 

Explore and use AI tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, Canva Magic Studio, or CapCut’s smart editing tools for content creation.

 

Suggest ways to streamline content production using automation (for example caption generation, keyword suggestions, hashtag planning).

 

Stay updated on emerging AI-powered marketing tools and propose relevant experiments.

 

Internal Collaboration & Coordination

 

Work closely with the Growth, Design Agency, and Operations teams to ensure consistent messaging.

 

Support any internal marketing activations and team-based events or product launches.

 

About you

 

You’re a recent graduate or early-career professional curious about digital marketing and eager to learn how to connect with customers in creative ways. You’re confident in both English and Kiswahili, digitally aware, and eager to grow your skills in content, social media, and brand communication.

 

We’re especially looking for someone who:

 

Has a strong passion for digital content, from graphic design to photography, video editing, and writing.

 

Proactive, reliable, and hands-on with daily tasks.
