Job Purpose
To represent the Company and its insureds clients in court and ensure effective handling of all legal matters including litigation, claims defense and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare pleadings, court documents, and legal opinions.
Represent the company and its insureds in court and at tribunals.
Advise on litigation risks and appropriate legal strategies.
Attend pre-trial conferences and negotiate settlements.
Maintain and update court diaries and status reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Current Practicing Certificate.
At least 3 years post-admission experience in civil litigation.
Insurance litigation experience is an added advantage.
