Job Description
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and validating electric vehicle systems, including batteries, powertrains, motors, and control systems. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicle performance, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute testing and validation plans for electric vehicle 2wh & 3wh vehicles, components and systems based on engineering requirements
- Conduct vehicle-level testing for range, efficiency, acceleration, thermal performance management, and safety compliance.
- Log the CAN data during on road testing, update the test records, analyse test results and provide detailed reports.
- Conduct EV Vehicle and component-level testing including battery, motor, power electronics, and charging systems.
- Perform validation tests on EV software, hardware, and integrated systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug EV subsystems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Production) for validation efforts.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards and regulations (ISO, SAE, etc.)
- Maintain test equipment and setups. - Identify and report issues, track them through resolution.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field at least one year of experience in automotive testing/validation, preferably with electric vehicles. Or Certifications in testing or validation related to EV systems.
- Familiarity with industry standard CAN basics understanding, CAN tool & Software’s. Need to have Valid driver's license and ability to operate test vehicles.
- Experience with handling of Electric & Electronics measurement equipment like digital multimeter, Clamp meter, Oscilliscope & Data acquisition system.
- knowledge of electric vehicle systems (battery, powertrain, charging, etc
- Knowledge of automotive testing methodology, standards and regulations
- Ability to log & analyse the CAN vehicle, Battery CAN bus data and generate report.
- Proficiency in any one of industry standard CAN tool like PCAN, CAN Analyst, Vector etc. or other testing tools.
- Proficiency in any one of CAN data logging software like Busmaster or CAN test or PCAN View or CAN analyser or Canoe.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Need to have Valid driver's license and ability to operate test vehicles.
