Job Description

Location: Lukenya, Mombasa Rd

Gross Salary: KES 60, 000 - 70, 000

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking to hire a highly motivated and experienced Technical Stores Supervisor to manage and coordinate inventory within a technically specialized environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical disciplines, as the role requires overseeing the management of utility and spare parts inventory to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the efficient management of utility and spare parts stores.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and timely replenishment of stock.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain required parts and equipment to support operations.
  • Monitor and track the movement of goods, ensuring proper storage and organization.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards when handling and storing parts.
  • Maintain records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and stock levels.
  • Assist with purchasing, procurement, and supplier coordination as needed.
  • Supervise and train staff within the stores department, promoting a high level of performance and accountability.

Key Attributes and Requirements:

    • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of Practical experience in a technical or industrial environment (e.g., working with mechanical or electrical systems, spare parts management).
  • Proven experience in utility or spare parts store management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems and spare parts to effectively support operations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
