Job Description

Purpose

The role is responsible for the achievement of business targets and effective management of branch operations, company policies and risk guidelines. The Job is also purposed in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the branch performance excellence, and to compliment the achievement of the overall company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks Management Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the branch meets its goals and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Oversee marketing activities at the branch level.
  • Ensure compliance on the standard operational procedures SOP, as defined on policy and BPI.
  • Ensure efficient management of resources at the branch level for maximum output.
  • Prepare various performance reports to facilitate decision making
  • Provide leadership in performance management, employee development, talent management and building a work environment that drives high performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee the execution of branch work plan and budgets

Operational Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development of policies and strategies for marketing, product development and business development.
  • Develop and ensure implementation of effective brand management mechanisms that ensure responsiveness to customer excellent experience.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of a suitable Public Relation and branding strategy which positions the company in branch region as a leading provider of financial services.
  • Coordinating procedures of identifying gaps in product service, develop strategies to inform and bridge the product gaps;
  • Co-ordinate development of marketing strategies and promotional activities in the identified market segment;
  • Ensure effective product launch and branding initiatives;
  • Facilitate regular updates of information on Marketing, PR and CSR on the website;
  • Monitor customer satisfaction indices and facilitate resolution of customer complaints;
  • Implement programs to improve and maintain the customer awareness culture amongst staff;
  • Design and co-ordinate implementation of standards on customer complaints resolution

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills)

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies is an added advantage.

Previous relevant work experience is required

  • Leadership: Should possess strong leadership and management skills to effectively oversee branch operations This includes experience as a team leader and driving operational excellence.
  • Organizational ability. hands-on experience in managing microfinance operations, understanding credit and lending practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution. possess demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and make informed decisions.
  • People management skills. Ability to inspire, accommodate, motivate and engage team in a proactive approach in order for individual and team achievement of performance excellence.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Branch Manager in a Microfinance is required and preferably Asset Finance, Logbook Loans, Checkoff Solutions.
