Job Description

This role focuses on building and managing key strategic partnerships that support the Finserve mobile money platform's growth. This role’s primary responsibility is to establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships that help expand the platform’s ecosystem, enhance its offerings, and create more value for both parties involved.

Job Responsibilities.

  • Identifying and forging strategic partnerships with key external entities
  • Negotiating terms and agreements with potential partners to expand the ecosystem (e.g. integrating payment solutions, co-marketing initiatives).
  • Managing relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration, and addressing any challenges.
  • Ensuring that partnerships align with Finserve’s strategic goals, such as expanding service offerings or accessing new customer bases.
  • Find and secure strategic partnerships with key external players.
  • Develop a clear partnership strategy that aligns with company goals.
  • Lead negotiations, draft partnership agreements, and manage contracts.
  • Work with partners to co-develop innovative products or services.
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key partners.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities for new partnership opportunities.
  • Leverage partnerships to expand market presence and drive customer adoption.
  • Measure the success of partnerships using KPIs and report to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events and engage with external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manage partnership risks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product development or co-innovation, particularly in the financial technology space.
  • University Degree
  • MBA is an added advantage
  • 7+ years’ experience
  • Ability to identify and build value-driven partnerships.
  • Expertise in managing long-term relationships and aligning external stakeholders with the company’s goals.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of the mobile money ecosystem, payment systems, and digital finance.
  • Experience in product development or co-innovation, particularly in the financial technology space.
  • Knowledge of local and international regulations related to mobile money, financial services, and data protection.
