DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Marketing Planning & Execution:
- Develop, implement, and refine the overall marketing strategy to align with company goals and market opportunities.
- Lead the creation of comprehensive annual marketing plans, balancing short-term and long-term marketing objectives.
- Work closely with senior management to set clear marketing goals, KPIs, and metrics to measure campaign success and ROI.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and training to help them reach their full potential.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture by setting clear expectations and motivating team members to achieve goals.
- Support career development for marketing team members through skill-building initiatives and growth opportunities.
Brand Management & Positioning:
- Define and strengthen the company’s brand voice, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints (website, social media, packaging, etc.).
- Conduct brand audits and consumer research to continuously refine and evolve brand strategies.
- Oversee market research efforts to understand consumer needs, preferences, and behaviors, using these insights to guide brand positioning and messaging.
Campaign Development & Management:
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that target key consumer segments and drive product awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Manage campaign budgets and ensure that resources are used effectively and efficiently, delivering the highest possible return on investment.
- Develop and execute consumer promotions, product launches, and events to drive engagement and create excitement around new products.
Market Research & Consumer Insights:
- Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities for the brand.
- Oversee consumer research projects, including focus groups, surveys, and digital listening tools, to gather insights that inform marketing decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product development, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with product launches and retail strategies.
- Partner with senior management and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to overall business goals.
Digital & Social Media Strategy:
- Drive and execute the company’s digital marketing strategies, including social media, paid media, content marketing, email campaigns, and SEO.
- Manage the company’s presence across all major social media platforms, ensuring active engagement, consistent messaging, and growth.
Sales and Marketing Alignment:
- Align marketing efforts with sales targets, ensuring marketing campaigns effectively generate leads and drive sales conversions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional strategies and materials that support the sales process and drive revenue.
- Provide sales teams with key marketing assets, data insights, and performance metrics to aid in client and customer relationships.
- Regularly communicate with sales teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness, customer responses, and suggest adjustments based on market feedback.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Report on campaign outcomes, including ROI, lead generation, sales metrics, and other KPIs to senior management.
- Conduct post-campaign analyses and make actionable recommendations for future improvements.
Customer Experience and Retention:
- Ensure that all marketing activities enhance the customer experience and contribute to long-term brand loyalty.
- Work with customer service teams to monitor and respond to customer feedback, improving brand perception and customer satisfaction.
- Develop retention strategies, loyalty programs, and customer engagement initiatives that increase repeat purchases and lifetime value.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar marketing role, preferably in an FMCG company.
- In-depth knowledge of brand management, consumer behavior, and digital marketing strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a marketing team.
- Proven experience in executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels (social media, email, print, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of marketing activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and articulate ideas effectively.
- Strong project management abilities, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, results-oriented, and adaptable with a passion for innovative marketing.
Salary: KShs. 120,000 - KShs. 150,000
