Job Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Manager in Banking Financial Services and Insurance at MSC, located in Nairobi County, Kenya. Assistant Manager will support the delivery of assignments typically focused on the technical support to clients across various Domains and Practice Groups along with providing support and guidance to more junior staff on assignments. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the delivery of outstanding quality of work on assignments, within the approaches and frameworks set out by MSC. Analysts will continue to build their knowledge and expertise in core areas of MSC’s client delivery work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Co-operative Management, Community development or equivalent
- Other relevant professional qualifications in line with areas of specialization.
- 1-5 years of experience in emerging markets and understanding of financial inclusion/ Communities and livelihoods previous experience.
- Thorough understanding of products and services of banks/Saccos, VLSA and self help groups
- Experience of working with diverse MSME/SME in different sectors
- Technical knowledge in credit/operations /Insurance is required
- Strong analytical abilities, research skills both quantitative and qualitative
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills including flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, writing skills, presentation skills
- Private sector development experience is a plus.
- Any experience in WASH, livelihoods, community development and capacity building is plus.
Skills and competences:
- Ability to lead small assignments under supervision
- Ability to build client relationships and contribute to business development
- Strong attention to detail
- A strong field orientation and proven interpersonal skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Proficient in Word and Excel
