Main Duties
The Sales and Operations Team Lead will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing distribution channels, and expanding the company’s market share by building and nurturing strong relationships with hardware stakeholders, clients, and distributors. The role involves leading a high- performing sales team, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering long-term business partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed company sales targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and lead the team in pursuing them.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to recommend strategies for increasing market share.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to ensure they meet individual and team performance targets.
- Provide regular training, mentorship, and performance feedback to improve team effectiveness.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team, track progress, and ensure accountability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key hardware stakeholders and distribution partners.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-ups and closing of deals.
- Handle customer complaints and provide timely solutions to maintain positive relationships.
- Oversee the creation, management, and growth of client accounts.
- Work closely with the marketing team to identify potential clients and develop strategies to convert leads into long-term customers.
- Drive the growth of return clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, customer feedback, and sales forecasts.
- Oversee and manage the distribution of mabati products to hardware stores and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Ensure proper inventory levels at distribution points to meet client demands
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Sales or Marketing is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in manufacturing industry.
- Must have a led a team for more than 2 years as a team lead with proven experience in managing distribution channels.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
