Job Description
- The successful candidate in this role willbe involved in supporting daily financial activities, preparing management accounts reports and ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
What to expect
- Financial Support and Reporting - Assist the Senior Finance Executive with daily financial activities and prepare management accounts schedules.
- Journal Entries and Reconciliation -Perform daily journal entries, cash and bank reconciliations, and analyze customer receipts for accuracy.
- Accounts Management - Reconcile customer accounts and review accounts payable to ensure timely vendor payments in accordance with agreements.
- Compliance and Statutory Deductions -Ensure timely filing of monthly statutory deductions (KRA, VAT, NITA) and support the coordination of external year-end audits.
- Internal Controls and Process Improvement -Execute accounting-related internal controls, adhere to accounting policies, and participate in the annual AOP exercise.
Essential education, experience & skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and proficiency in Google Sheets, along with experience using an ERP system.
- Excellent analytical abilities complemented by strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Self-starter, flexible, detail-oriented, proactive, and results-oriented.
