Job Description

Summary

  • Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Deputy Claims Manager shall be responsible for managing the administrative, co-ordination and operations of the Claims, Legal, & Investigations Department, including supervising staff in the section.

Skill Set

  • A team player able to lead a diverse team
  • Very good knowledge of insurance practices and product
  • Experience in budgeting and strategic financial planning
  • Ability to operate within a high pressured environment and engage at an executive level
  • Be passionate about service delivery
  • Be of high integrity
  • Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Commercial instinct and drive
  • Problem solving and ability to make decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Commerce or Law or other related studies
  • Diploma in Insurance is a must
  • ACII or FCII qualifications will be added advantage
  • At least 5 years' experience at a senior level in relevant position
  • Good knowledge of non-motor claims processes
