Job Description
Tatu City seeks a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Manager to develop and lead our sustainability initiatives and Tatu City CSR pillars: Conservation, Community, Health and Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies that promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sustainable business practices across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate and oversee the execution of Tatu City’s sustainability and CSR strategies.
- Identify and promote sustainable business practices across all departments.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance sustainability and CSR goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with local communities and government agencies for substantial contributions in the larger community.
- Manage and monitor the annual budget and multi-year budgeting strategies in line with sustainability and CSR plans.
- Develop and manage programs to reduce the environmental impact of Tatu City’s operations.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics and ensure compliance with local, national, and international sustainability standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present sustainability and CSR reports to senior management and external stakeholders
- Design and implement community development projects that align with Tatu City’s CSR objectives for conservation, community, health and education.
- Promote a culture of sustainability within the organization through training programs that raise among internal and external stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
Hard skills and experience:
- BSc in Environmental Sustainability, Social Sciences or a related field from a recognized university.
- Master of Science in Environmental Governance is an added advantage
- At least 10 years’ experience
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing Charities, IPCs (Institutions of Public Character), sustainability and CSR best practices will be an advantage.
- You have strong expertise in managing relationships, networks, and teams that include a diverse group of people. These include representatives of the public and private sectors, community-based organizations, nonprofits, and civic leaders as well as program beneficiaries.
- Proven effectiveness in driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-team projects to desired results.
