Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, empathetic, and innovative Project Team Leader to spearhead our Teen/Young Mothers Program. This initiative aims to provide young mothers with the resources, livelihood skills, and support they need to overcome challenges, thrive as individuals, and contribute positively to their families and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to achieve the program’s goals, including empowerment workshops, mentorship, and skills training for teen and young mothers.
- Team Management: Supervise, motivate, and coordinate a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
- Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with community stakeholders, including local leaders, schools, and other providers.
- Street Work & Family Engagement: Design and implement strategies to connect with street-involved individuals and families, ensuring the inclusion of their unique needs within the program.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Track program outcomes, collect feedback, and prepare reports to ensure continuous improvement.
- Resource Mobilization: Identify funding opportunities and collaborate with partners to secure necessary resources for program sustainability.
- Advocacy: Promote awareness of issues affecting teen and young mothers and advocate for supportive policies and interventions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Community Development, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, especially with youth/women street-connected families and vulnerable populations.
- Proven experience in street work and community engagement, with a focus on addressing challenges faced by street-involved families.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- A passion for community service and commitment to empowering young mothers.
