We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Sales to lead and drive the sales function for our animal feeds division. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in the animal feed, agriculture, or livestock industries and a proven track record in sales strategy, market penetration, and revenue growth. This role will require a dynamic leader who can set ambitious targets, expand market share, and foster strong customer relationships to ensure sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a robust sales strategy to drive market penetration and achieve revenue growth for the animal feeds division.
- Target Setting & Team Performance: Set clear performance targets for the sales team, conduct regular evaluations, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, providing insights that shape sales strategies.
- Customer & Market Expansion: Identify and engage with potential customers, expanding into new market segments and increasing the division’s market share.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders to enhance brand loyalty and customer retention.
- Customer Service & Satisfaction: Oversee the development of customer service strategies that ensure high levels of satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, and production teams to ensure alignment of products with market demands.
- Marketing & Branding Input: Contribute insights for marketing campaigns, promotions, and branding strategies that support sales objectives.
- Sales Analysis & Reporting: Track sales performance, analyze data, and prepare regular reports for senior management, offering insights to refine strategies and adjust approaches as necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in sales and business development, ideally within the animal feed, agriculture, or livestock industries.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in setting and achieving ambitious sales targets.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to translate data insights into effective strategies.
