Job Description
A leading group in the Agricultural Industry, focused on life, sustainability and science, is seeking to hire a Sales Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Implementing an aggressive sale’s plan and ensuring sales quotas are met and exceeded while surpassing client service expectations (under direction of the department head)
Understanding customers' diverse, specific business needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs
Ensuring quality of service to clients
Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow-up calls
Cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services and generate new business leads and arrange meetings
Organizing demo plots on farms
Providing technical advice to customers on all aspects of the crop and specifics of our products, both before and after the sale
Meeting sales targets set by management and contributing to team targets.
Helping to set up product development plots for different needs of the company
Recommending and Developing new areas of business to management
Other Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture (advantage to Master’s Degree /PhD).
Minimum 6 years experience in the export farms Sales of Agri inputs, preferably in plant nutrition products
A valid Driving Licence (a prerequisite).
Flexible to travel and stay out (sometimes up to 5 days).
Excellent understanding of plant nutrition.
Good understanding of plant protection.
