Job Description
Purpose:
- Responsible for providing legal and operational support, the Paralegal will assist the partners and team members to enable them to deliver efficient client service.
- This role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, prioritize assignments and demonstrable document and project management skills.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws degree from an accredited learning institution
- 3+ years proven working experience as a litigation paralegal in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Process server licence is an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the drafting of various legal documents.
- Assist with the preparation of various correspondence and communication.
- Perform legal research, analyse and draft legal documents.
- Assist in general file and matter management.
- Ensure quality control for all documents compiled by the team.
- Work with the Knowledge Management (KM) team to identify, update, amend and maintain current drafts of various litigation precedents.
- Assist in various team projects as may be assigned from time to time.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Partners from time to time.
Competencies:
- Resourceful research and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- In depth knowledge of litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
