Kenya Water Workers Association General Secretary Elijah Awach has been charged with forgery.
On February 12, 2022, Awach is said to have forged a signature, which he purported belonged to Ahmed Bashir Mohammed, on minutes recorded during a National Executive Committee meeting.
He was also charged with a second count of uttering a false document.
Awach pleaded not guilty to both charges and was released on a cash bail of Ksh.200,000.
