Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has termed demands laid down by Opposition Chief Raila Odinga as unrealistic, illegal and primitive.
The Senator was responding to Raila's latest proposal after he unveiled a team of seven members who will have a dialogue with the group selected by President William Ruto.
"The demands by Azimio-OKA are unrealistic, illegal, unconstitutional & primitive. There is no better representation of the people than Parliament and or MPs," Cherargei said.
The Kenya Kwanza die-hard further stated that if Azimio-OKA doesn't want Parliament's bipartisan approach, they are free to go back to the streets.
"Go back to demos . Maji ya yellow/pilipili ikuwe Tayari!" he tweeted.
Speaking during the Parliamentary Group meeting, Raila said the team wants a proper constitutional review to cure the governance defect in the 2010 Constitution.
"We want to remove the last vestiges of an imperial presidency," Raila stated.
The ODM leader said that the matters discussed during the PG meeting will be put on the table during a dialogue with the Kenya Kwanza government.
In other demands, Raila wants recommendations on measures on how the cost of unga, fuel, electricity and school fees will be lowered.
"We want a review and forensic audit of the servers used by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission before, during and after the 2022 general election," he said.
Raila also wants the government to consider restructuring IEBC by dissolving structures to the counties, and whether the counties really need commissioners working on a permanent basis
