Raging mudslide from Eburru Mbaruku hills swept seven people at Ol Jorai village in Eburru Mbaruk, Gilgil Sub County last night.
Confirming the incident, Gilgil OCPD Francis Tumbo said that the mudslide swept across the village pulling off the houses and structures along the way and thereby killing four children and three adults.
"It is a sad situation, response teams have been activated and the injured have been taken to Gilgil sub county hospital as rescue continues,” he said.
He added that they expect to meet as the security team to assess the situation and take intervention measures to assist the families that have been affected by the natural strike.
Nakuru red cross has also said that they have activated their response to help those in need even as they called on the people to move to safe grounds.
