A farewell caravan will be held in Nairobi to hounour the late former Education CS George Magoha ahead of the burial on February 11, 2023.
Former Basic Education and Early Learning Principal Secretary Julius Jwan, who is leading the team making funeral arrangements, said the caravan will be held in Nairobi on February 8.
"The caravan will go through places that defined the adult life of Magoha," said Jwan.
The caravan will go through KNH, KMPDC, KNEC, St Georges Primary, State House Girls, University of Nairobi and Starehe Centre.
The funeral committee making the arrangements includes family members, Magoha’s colleagues and friends in the former and current administration, as well as in academia and the medical field.
Former Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa earlier revealed that the Cabinet of the fourth Kenyan president shall be at the late Magoha’s home in Gem, Yala, Siaya County, for the burial in accordance with the former Head of State’s instructions.
The former Education Cabinet Secretary passed on on January 24, 2023, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
He collapsed at home before he was rushed to Nairobi hospital, where he was announced dead.
