Liverpool defender Conor Bradley is set to sign a new three-year-contract at the club, according to reports.
An abundance of players have left Anfield this summer following the expiration of their contracts, including Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keita.
Jordan Henderson also confirmed he was leaving the club in an emotional farewell video to fans on Wednesday, with the 33-year-old on the verge of completing a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Eittifaq.
Meanwhile, Reds teammate Fabinho has been heavily rumoured with a move to the Middle East following an underwhelming 2022/23 campaign. However, 20-year-old right-back Bradley is set to extend his stay at Anfield amid interest from a number of Premier League and Championship clubs, claim The Athletic.
Speaking back in April, Jurgen Klopp confirmed Bradley would be involved in pre-season where he would be assessed at first-team level.
“Everybody speaks positively about him,” Klopp said. “I think one-and-a-half years ago only a few football nerds would have known about him and now everybody knows him. That’s cool and that’s the first step. The Reds boss has clearly stuck to his word up after starting the Northern Ireland International in both of Liverpool’s pre-season friendlies in the inverted full-back role usually occupied by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Bradley spent last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers where he enjoyed a 'stellar season' with the League One club, according to The Athletic.
The defender played 53 games in total for Bolton and was one of the team’s standout performers as they lifted the EFL Trophy at Wembley and reached the play-off semi-finals.He will almost certainly be part of the squad that travels to Singapore on the club's pre-season tour.
In addition, his involvement over the summer would suggest he may continue with the first-team and play a part in the 2023/24 campaign, providing competition for Alexander-Arnold.
