Actress Jackie Matubia says she has shed about 28kg after swallowing a balloon.

Speaking to Word Is, the popular actress said she will soon talk about the weight-loss journey as she also unveils her new body.

"I am doing a whole reveal video soon, and that is why I have been wearing baggy clothes so people can think that I have not lost weight," she said.

Asked what her desired weight is, Jackie said she wants to maintain where she is right now.

"I have heavy bones and I am also thick. I think my preferred weight is 75 but when I was 75kg, I was really tiny, and so I think I will maintain where I am right now."

Four months ago, Jackie announced that she underwent gastric balloon surgery.

She expressed excitement at finding a solution to her weight concerns.

In October 2022, she revealed that she spent Sh500,000 to kickstart her journey.

The following month, she updated that she had shed 7 kilos, a massive fete.

On her YouTube channel, the Zora actress added that she has a goal weight for December.

"It's an amazing feeling because you're losing weight so drastically, but nothing comes easy. Six kgs are something I would have worked out crazy for at the gym. My target weight is 75 and I am very sure I am going to get it by December."
