Celtic moved to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 3-1 win at Aberdeen on Sunday despite the loss of key duo Cameron Carter-Vickers and Reo Hatate to injury.
The visitors got off to a perfect start when Liel Abada prodded in at the back post after Daizen Maeda headed down Matt O'Riley's free-kick.
Aberdeen had not lost at Pittodrie since February and were deservedly level when Luis Lopes crossed for Bojan Miovski to level.
However, the Dons' good work was undone four minutes later when Kyogo Furuhashi pounced on a loose header back towards his own goal by Nicky Devlin.
Carter-Vickers then had to be replaced at half time, while Hatate limped off just 25 minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Celtic are already missing first choice right-back Alistair Johnston and striker Oh Hyeon- gyu through injury.
Brendan Rodgers's men had to withstand plenty of Aberdeen pressure in the second-half.
But they held on before making the game safe when O'Riley swept home Yang Hyun-jun's cross six minutes from time.
"A really good win for us," said Rodgers.
"The attitude of the players is top class. It's always a good sign if you can start well and finish strong.
"While you are looking to improve performance level, it's good to win."
Celtic move ahead of St Mirren on goal difference at the top of the table after two games.
Rangers are three points behind after they bounced back from a shock opening day defeat at Kilmarnock by beating Livingston 4-0 on Saturday.
